The Maha Shivarathiri celebrations are scheduled on Thursday, 27th February, 2014

All are welcome to be in the benign presence of Sri M.

Registrations start on  Saturday the 18th January and ends on Monday the 10th February 2014

Program details will be announced later along with all other relevant information.

Venue : The Satsang Foundation Campus, Madanapalle

Participation fee per person

Option A [Without accommodation]- Rs.1000/- Includes Vegetarian food comprising of Lunch, Tiffin with Tea [evening] & Dinner [ midnight] on 27th February [Thursday] AND  morning tea , Breakfast with tea on 28th February [Friday]

Option B-[With accommodation] Rs.1250/- Includes everything under Option A above and dormitory accommodation [Classrooms converted into Dorms] at venue on Thursday, 27th February, 2014- one night only

One of the above registrations is necessary for participating in the Maha Shivarathiri Celebrations.

In case you want your driver to be served food at the venue, kindly register him in Option A. Option B is not available for drivers due to limited availability of dorms.

Accommodation at Venue

Dormitory accommodation is provided in Satsang Vidyalaya classrooms

ACCOMODATION AT THE VENUE OPENS ONLY on 27th February [Thursday] morning and is upto 28th February [Friday] morning only.

One mattress and two bed sheets per participant will be provided. Kindly bring air-pillow and mosquito repellent. Separate common Toilets/Baths provided for Women  and  Men

Token numbers

Upon receipt of above information you will be sent a pre-registration token number [One number per person]. Your final token number will be intimated upon receipt of your participation fee.

Option B- First-come-first-booked

Only 125 persons can be accommodated at venue and hence Option Bbookings will be on a first-come-first-booked basis . The next 25 persons [choosing option B] will be  wait listed

Wait listed participants

Wait-listed participants will be notified with a wait list token number and will have to make participation fee  applicable to Option A and register themselves under the wait listed category.In case they are confirmed, they can make balance payment [as applicable to Option B]during Check-in on 27-02-2014.If they are not confirmed, they will automatically come under Option A and are requested to make their own arrangements for stay.

The status of wait-listed participants will be confirmed as and when there is a cancellation and as per their priority in the waiting list

No Spot Registrations

There is no limit on the number of participants [Option A] who are making their own arrangements for stay. But you will have to registerin advance [before 10-02-2014] for the Shivarathiri celebrations under one of the options mentioned above and you will be given a token number. The entire food is being prepared in a different location based on confirmed participants/registrations and transported to the venue. Hence, NO SPOT REGISTRATIONS at venue PLEASE.

Refund

There is no refund of your Participation fee in case of cancellations. But do inform us in case you are unable to come so that we may allot your dorm accommodation [in case you have been allotted a dorm] to those in the wait list. This information/intimation will also help in avoiding wastage of food.

Check-in

Check-in starts at 10.00 A.M on 27th February 2014 at the venue

Your welcome kit containing your food coupons & accommodation details [for those choosing Option B] will be given upon Check-in.Your indication of food in Registration Form will determine the food coupons that you will get in the welcome kit

Sri M Said…

‘Let go’ doesn’t mean – give up. Throw everything and run away to the cave. That’s not the meaning of ‘let go’, which means, let go of all the unpleasant memories, the hurts, the wounds, the bitterness that has been in your mind – let it all go. Just throw it out of the window – visualize that it is going out of you and your mind becomes fresh and clear. Then, rejoice at the bliss and calm of a tranquil mind, which reflects the universal bliss of the Universal Reality! So, that is the secret of happiness! Let go and rejoice – let none of your hurts and negativities stick to you. Throw them away – let go of them. Then be free and rejoice in the bliss of the tranquil mind which is at the core of your being.

So, if you resolve to be happy, then, have happiness as your aim – and if you have happiness as your aim, get ready to sacrifice everything else for happiness. Happiness is not attainable by acquiring and gathering. It is attained by being good and ‘Letting Go!’ There is a great saying in the Ishavasya Upanishad “tyena tyaktena bhunjita…” which means, “Let go and rejoice!”

One – first principle – choose one goal and stick to it. now suppose you say, “I want to make money!” What do you do? You don’t just say – I want to make money – the brain and mind don’t like such statements that are general in nature – be very very particular. So, what do you do? Say, ‘ I would like to make…’ – make a large and great resolution, not a small resolution – ‘I would like to make twenty crores!’ the mind doesn’t like this kind of, again, general resolution; because it always comes up with a question – When? When you are dead? So give it a time – say five years – a reasonably good time. “In five years I will make twenty crores.” Let it be that way. Now write it down. It’s very important – WRITE IT DOWN. If you are going to implement your resolution, have it written down on white paper. Every night, before you go to sleep, take the slip, read it as many times as you can. Repeat it like a mantra. Put it under your pillow and go to sleep. Believe me, if you are really serious, and if you are ready to take the initiative and also sacrifice your time and energy – which is very important – the mind will find ways and means, the sub-conscious mind, to bring about situations which will open up your future to fulfilling the aim which you have written down and resolved to attain. This is true, as imagination is a gift from the Divine that has been given to us.
